Weebly
This next project was created out the Google Docs Collaborative. As a New Teacher Mentor I was brainstorming with other teachers and my school's other New Teacher Mentor about a way to help out new teachers at Brighton have a resource that would help them organize all the information that they get at the beginning of the year, as well as a resource of information throughout the year. I decided to create a Weebly for new teachers at Brighton High School. As I have talked with other teachers at Brighton they have expressed interest in being able to access the website as well. This is what I have so far!
Prezi
As an assignment for this course we were asked to create a Prezi. I decided to add to my PLN showcase. I learned a lot more aboaut Prezi during Colleen's presentation and wanted to add to what I had done. Here is the link for the updated Prezi PLN Showcase:

PLN Showcase- Prezi
This is my first attempt at a prezi. I created a prezi for my PLN Showcase! Enjoy!
Fakebook
At first I was a little hesitant about using Fakebook until I saw the potential it had for American Women's History. I have so many ideas racing through my head on how to use it. I usually have my students do research on a woman in history, but I like the way this program would require students to think critically about the individual. Who there friends would be, what their background information would be, how conversations with friends and associated would go, etc. I love the idea!
Edcanvas
This is a great way to share digital information with my students. I love Edcanvas! My plan is to infuse canvases into my Weebly pages for all of my classes.

Pecha Kucha
Pecha Kucha is a way to make presentations concise. It limits the amount of information you can put on a slide as well as the time that you can speak while that slide is up. Therefore, it is automatically timed for 20 seconds per slide. I like the idea of Pecha Kucha, but I am not sure how I would use it exactly yet. I think it is a good way to force students to really know what they are presenting and talking about, but I am worried about how I would use the program. I don't have an iPad lab yet - something I definitely need to write a grant for.
